Do you have your servers connected to a UPS system?
Yes. All our equipment is connected to an advanced Uninterruptible Power Supply system to protect against downtime due to a failure in the mains power supply. The facility we use also has on-site backup generators capable of powering the entire site load whilst recharging the UPS systems.
Do you take regular backups of data stored on your servers?
Yes. We perform regular backups of customer data onto tapes. However, we do this in order that we can recover data in the event of a server failure. In some circumstances we can recover files specially from our backups if it was deleted very recently. We always recommend that customers keep current backup copies of their own data at all times, as we are not always able to restore lost data.

If I already have a domain registered with another service provider and want to use it with one of your services, why do I need to transfer it to your control?
If the domain is under the control of another service provider, any alterations to details relating to the domain must be carried out by them. As we cannot guarantee their response times, we require that domains be transferred to us, so any necessary changes can be made quickly.
Do you charge a transfer fee if I decide to move to another provider?
No! You will not be charged if you choose to move your domain name to another provider. However, if you have unpaid invoices, we will expect cleared payment for these before the domain name is released.
